LEAKED! Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh & Shahid Kapoor’s NEW Padmaavat Trailer

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat continues to make headlines owing to the controversy surrounding the film. The Karni Sena had threatened to bury SLB and Deepika alive if the film hits the theatres. Now, a couple of film’s dialogue promos have been leaked online. While one has Deepika Padukone, other features Ranveer Singh.

The clip with Deepika Padukone, who essays the role of Rani Padmini, exhibits courage and tells the tale of a queen who never gave up. What caught our attention in the gratifying 30-second video was the dialogue where Rani Padmavati says, “Darr naam ka gehna Padmavati ne kabhi pehna he nahi.” Her words are quite apt considering the current controversies around the film.

Talking about Ranveer Singh’s teaser which was later released officially by the makers, the actor impresses you as Alauddin Khilji. Ranveer shared the video on his Instagram account with a caption, “#Padmaavat, releasing on 25th January 2018 in theatres near you. Now also in 3D, Imax 3D, Tamil & Telugu. @filmPadmaavat @deepikapadukone @shahidkapoor @aditiraohydari @viacom18motionpictures #BhansaliProductions @tseries.official,” he wrote.

We also get a glimpse of Shahid’s character in this promo.

A Still From The Teaser

Despite Supreme Court’s lifting of the ban on Padmaavat, protests by Karni Sena continue. In a  fresh threat, the members have threatened to bury SLB and Deepika Padukone if the film hits the theatre. “Thakur Abhishek Som, a protester from Uttar Pradesh said, “We will bury Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone alive if the movie is released. We’ve always opposed the idea of making a film on Padmavati because she is our Goddess. Our ancestors worshipped her, we worship her and our future generations will continue to worship her. You don’t play with our self-respect and pride… We respect the Supreme Court but they (the judges) must respect our sentiments. They themselves are victims. Only a few days ago, they had come out in the open to express their grievances in front of the country.”
